  • Agricultural and Fishing

    Atimonan is primarily an agricultural municipality.

    Coconut is still the major product of Atimonan, followed by a variety of vegetables, fruits, palay, and root crops. Livestock and poultry production supports the farming sector.

    Resting along the shoreline Lamon Bay, fishing is another source of livelihood. The fishing community has a total of 459 registered fishing vessels.

  • Commerce and Trade

    Retail and merchandizing is the dominant type of business with 60.12%; various services have a share of 24.83%; manufacturing has 7.7% recreation has 4.71% and financial services has 2.64%.

    The Poblacion is the financial and commercial center of Atimonan. It is also where Government establishments were located such as Atimonan Public Market, Atimonan Fishing Port, the drop point of fish coming from Lamon Bay, Pacific Ocean and Ragay gulf and the Port of Atimonan, a Social Reform Related Feeder Port Development Project of DOTC-PPA.

  • Industry / Manufacturing

    The manufacturing sectors are mostly engaged in food processing and handicraft-making. Industries are lime production and coconut oil processing.

  • Tourism

    Atimonan is a potential tourist destination of Quezon Province with its strategic location along the Maharlika Highway and a long stretch of land bordering along the coast of Lamon Bay where beach resorts are located.

    Lying in the heart of Quezon Province is the Quezon National Forest Park. Trekking up its forest is the Cueva Santa Cave and a monument built in 1983 called Pinagbanderahan, playing a historical role during World War II.

    Other favorite destinations are the Bantakay Falls and Cave at Brgy. Santa Catalina, Palanyag Cave at Brgy. Sapaan, Lumiliay Waterfalls at Brgy. Caridad Ilaya, Magsaysay Falls at Brgy. Magsaysay and other unexplored natural attractions and beach resorts like the De Gracia Beach Resort, Villa Urgino Beach Resort, and Victoria Beach Resort at Brgy. Balubad, HGV Beach Resort at Brgy. Lumutan and Green Park at Brgy. Caridad Ibaba.

    The town and patronal fiesta is celebrated every 1st and 2nd day of August, highlighted by activities such as street dancing and "karakol" or "prusisyon ng dagat" which is a religious festival composed of singing and dancing as the images of Saints - Nuestra Senora de los Angeles, Sto. Nino and St. Joseph were paraded on boats.
